Beer Barrel Bar, St Libory Nebraska

I love to go out with friends, have a beer, party it up once in awhile. I love playing pool, darts, cards, even foosball, and I am a total, absolute sucker for karaoke. Now, even though I have fun doing all these things almost anywhere I can, the ultimate place for me is the Beer Barrel Bar in St Libory NE. Why? Three reasons...Location, Events and People!!! I've been a lot of places and I've met a lot of people, and the ONLY place I feel like I can call my "home away from home" is Moody's Beer Barrel. The owners, Jeff and Deb Moody, have taken the 'always loved but not so lovely' building and sculpted it into a beautiful, attractive gathering place, so to speak. The different types of people and activities in that place are more vast than the building itself. Just for starters, they have a Wednesday night draw-your-partner pool league, (free!) Texas Hold Em tournaments Thursday and Friday, and then Karaoke (or sometimes bands) to drive the weekend home. The summertime is loaded with sand volleyball leagues, horseshoe tournaments and our annual Watermelon days, which consists of a street dance, volleyball tournament, and kids parade all hosted by the bar and the St Libory Community Club! They also hold foosball tournaments, occasional dart tournaments, birthday parties, graduations...and the list goes on and on!!! This really is a remarkable little place inside of an exquisite little town. Moody's Beer Barrel is much more than a bar. It's a place for friends, family and loads of fun and memories. Whether you're a faithful local or a greatly welcomed visitor, you will always have a place at the Moody's Beer Barrel Bar!!! |
